CONNECTIONS - Independent Programs

CONNECTIONS offers 6 different Homestay Programs for those who prefer traveling alone or with a friend (doubles), instead of with a group. Host Families welcome participants into their homes and include them as family members. Homestays are arranged in the areas noted below and other locations are considered. Each program offers room and board, airport transfers on arrival and departure, plus the supervision of a Homestay Coordinator.
  1. IMMERSION PROGRAM (1-4 weeks) - Designed for independent travelers with the maturity and communication skills to arrange and experience their own activities autonomously.

  6. ESL PROGRAM (1-4 weeks) - Similar to Immersion Program with the addition of ESL lessons with a private tutor. Designed for students wanting to improve their English.

  12. 15 hours of ESL per week
  13. EXCURSION PROGRAM (1-4 weeks) - Similar to Immersion Program with the addition of excursions with an escort. Designed for travelers wanting activities with a guide.

  18. 1 full day and 2 half-day excursions with escort per week
  19. EXPERIENCE PROGRAM (1-4 weeks) - A combination of ESL lesson and excursions with an escort. Designed for students wanting to improve their English and have guided activities.

  26. HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS (4 days to 3 months) - Designed for students attending college in North America who want a Homestay for Spring, Summer or Winter break.

  31. ACADEMIC PROGRAM (1-9 months) - Designed for North American college students who prefer a Homestay rather than dormitory or apartment living during the school year. We can do this for any college and have existing programs with The University of Toronto, The University of Arizona, The Ohio State University and The University of Minnesota.
